According to LakeMonster.com, the current water temperature is 65 degrees, making for refreshing swimming while still being comfortable for boating and paddling.

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to spend the day on the lake with a great group of friends. We took the boat over to Sand Island, and I have to say—it was well worth the trip.

It’s easy to see why Sand Island continues to be one of the favorite gathering spots on the Great Sacandaga Lake during the summer.
