Thomas J. McGroder is an Associate Broker with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services and the former owner of Thomas J. Real Estate, Inc. Following the merger with Howard Hanna, Thomas continues to serve buyers and sellers with the same dedication and leadership he built his business on. He began his real estate career after retiring from law enforcement and has since become a trusted and well-known real estate professional.
Thomas is a consistent multi-million-dollar producer and has held many leadership roles in the real estate industry. He served as the 2020 President of the Greater Capital Association of REALTORS® and is an active member of the Global Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and the Edinburg Emergency Squad. He previously served as the 2013–2014 New York State Association of REALTORS® Regional Vice President for the Capital District and as 2011 President of the Fulton County Board of REALTORS®.
In recognition of his service, Thomas received the 2011 REALTOR® of the Year Award from the Fulton County Board of REALTORS®. In 2012, he was also named Member of the Year by the Capital Region Women’s Council of REALTORS®.
Thomas is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and the New York State Association of REALTORS®. At both the state and national levels, he has served on several committees, including Education Forum, Ethics, MLS, and Professional Standards.
